Students are encouraged to participate in this essay competition on human rights in the United States by submitting a 500-word essay. The competition is available to law students, scholars , and even willing members of the public who want to test their knowledge of current human rights concerns . The contest is open to all students regardless of race, ethnicity , sexuality, gender, or religious affiliation, and submissions are judged strictly on merit.
